AIMIA and leading online Australian publishers launch IAB

The Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) together with six major Australian online publishers (Yahoo!, Sensis, Google, Fairfax Digital, ninemsn and News Interactive, have launched the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia.

The mission of the IAB Australia is to “promote and further develop the Interactive Advertising and Marketing Industry in Australia, and increase the share of advertising and marketing dollars that Interactive Media captures in the marketplace."

Funding is from the online publishers while management and infrastructure will come from AIMIA.
