Most car brands put significant time and money towards their printed marketing material, yet less resources into their what should be their main marketing platform - their website.

For years it seemed like car manufactures were designing and developing their websites in Flash with little attention to UX. A sad consequence of this was poor and uninspiring experience for users. A major culprit was Mercedes-Benz but several other brands have done the same.

But there seems to be a change in the air. It started with Dodge.

Testla Motors has been one of few car brands to embrace good website design.

This new trend has seen some very nice car website design come out recently. A notable site (www.audiusa.com) has strong emphasis on UX, apparent immediatly via the large search section plus the line up of different models on its category page.

The site is has a clean design with focus on content and images.

Another notable car website is Volkswagen Norway taktisk.volkswagen.no

Beautiful and simple category page. Easy to navigate car details page with focus on information and car images.
