The age of the hipster...

An interesting time to be alive. Watching the nightclubs of the mid-noughties rapidly renovate themselves into the latest whiskey bar has been amusing. Glass and mirrors replaced with milk-crates and science beakers.

They’re easy to poke fun at, they’ve got no agenda or what agenda they think they have is often miss-interpreted and poorly explained. However, as poorly explained as it is, it usually comes with a fair serving of passive-aggression.

The latest cab off the ranks…

Two types of glasses

Type, a company selling glasses inspired by common fonts, nay not just fonts, but font weights as well; light, regular and bold.

Now, I’m sure the people behind Type are very nice. I’m sure this company is their child and they’ve stumbled on to something interesting and new. However, if just one of us have to sit through a bus ride home whilst being subjected to two hipsters discussing the finer points of font weights in glasses format, I’m betting we’ll all hope Type kept their idea to themselves.
