The reinvention of branding in the digital age
One of the most depressing moments in my design process is when the current branding and the design guide looks out-dated, not flexible or more suited to print. Often it’s very hard to convince businesses to revamp the design, add new elements, and even take on a whole new design for their website.
Presenting your business online is another channel for your audience in a digital world. A brand new website design can very easily make you fall behind other competitors who keep their website up-to-update, utilise the latest development technology and design trends. Unless you embrace new ideas and allow your web designer to show you what the best solution is for your brand.
However, reinventing your brand can sometimes damage your business. It is not necessary if you already have a robust marketing and branding strategy. A Website is another extension of your business, and should be approached with similar business strategy as a whole. But keep in mind, your new website can be the best opportunity to makeover your brand.
