Tags : Web Marketing

Twitter rolled out on Dec 8th their Brand Pages updated redesign, aimed at Google+ and Facebook in an attempt to catch some of the market for big brand pages.

With its vast user base and how the popular retweeting mechanism works, they should be able to obtain a large number of followers for Brands with this clever and eye appealing redesign. However many big brands may stick to the competition as Twitter pages are more difficult to program than the and can’t hand big blocks of HTML code.

The best thing about branding your product on Twitter is having complete control over the colour scheme of your page, being able to match the colour of your brand or product. Interaction on Brand Pages by using the @reply and follow buttons meaning folks will be able to interact directly with those behind the Brand.

Only time will tell whether this update will be able to lure Brands away from Facebook and Google+.
